Electrician

Responsibilities:

• To carry out installation of electrical equipments and devices or fittings
• Installing and terminating E & I cables to equipments
• Fiber optic cables and or coaxial cables installation and termination
• Carry out inspection of installed electrical equipments, devices and cables
• Carry out periodic preventive maintenance of equipments as scheduled
• Inspecting incoming electrical materials, fittings, equipment, etc
• Installation of cable ladders and MCTs or cable penetrations fixtures
• Installation and the packing of cable MCTs
• To test, troubleshoot and commission all electrical installations
• To carry out mechanical completion inspection of electrical installation prior to live power up

Requirements:

• You should possess a Higher NITEC or NITEC in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum 3 years experience as an Electrician in the Marine and Offshore industry
• Able to read Single Line and Wire termination diagrams in order to carry out cable installation and termination work
• Able to carry out electrical inspection and test, e.g. loop check or continuity test, meggering of electrical switchboards, panels, transformers, etc
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Good working attitude and problem solving abilities
• Basic understanding of English Language, a third language, especially Bahasa Indonesia / Malaysia would be an added advantage
• Should not be colour blind
