Project Engineer

Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning and implementation of complex projects (heavy lift & OOG) in Singapore and in the region. Prepared to travel at short notice.
Prepare stowage planning for stevedoring
Perform risk assessment and management for all operations, which will become part and parcel of all tool box meetings
Site supervision of operations and end-to-end co-ordination from start to end as single point of contacts
Lead and manage a team of Operation in full accordance to HSE standards / procedures
Ensure proper project closing with reporting
Monitor, measure and take remedial action on any operational process deviating from plan
Chair and participate in internal operations meetings, conduct pre-op meetings, toolbox meetings
Report compliance to delivery schedule daily, weekly and to date
Manage and be accountable for the Profit and Loss of the projects
Ensure all activities are carried out in a timely and correct manner
Ensure productivity targets are achieved in a cost-effective manner
Ensure job files for all projects are prepared in accordance with finance guidelines in preparation for billing

Requirements:

Minimum Degree in Engineering / Diploma in Marine & Offshore, Shipbuilding or Marine Engineering & Naval Architecture shall be considered on its own merits
Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant experience from Maritime Industries preferrably in Freight Forwarding / Shipping
Certified Lifting Supervisor preferred
OHSAS / ISO / Risk Assessment knowledge and experience is highly preferred
Project Management Qualification and Experience
Knowledge of various types of load-outs & equipment used
General good IT knowledge & understanding.
Good written and spoken English
