SYSTEM ENGINEER (IT/SOFTWARE)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sales and/or Project Manager in all technical matters of the project of Automated Material Handling System during sales & implementation phase.
  • Perform detailed system engineering during pre-sales & implementation phases of projects, including preparation of Bill of Materials list.
  • Perform technical clarification with potential customer(s).
  • Development of requirement specifications for procurement of material handling equipment.
  • Evaluation of potential equipment supplier(s).
  • Review of equipment design documents/drawings from supplier(s).
  • Co-ordination of civil works interface with customer.
  • Participation in site detailed planning.
  • Development of customer training programme.
  • Perform periodical quality assurance inspection – on installation quality of equipment by supplier(s) on site.
  • Perform functionality checks during equipment/system commissioning on site.
  • Develop acceptance test procedures.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Engineering or Information Technology.
  • Knowledge of PLC, C++, Visual Basic
  • Self-motivated with the desire to work with clients regarding their problems and change requests.
  • Minimum 2-3 years IT Experience.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate in English & Mandarin, both oral & written (To liaise with Chinese speaking clients).
