TECNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER
(Singapore)
Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Technical Support Engineer include the following:
- Install and test hardware servers, OS and application software for new services.
- Provide technical support to customers and trouble-shoot technical issues.
- Operate and maintain hosted servers and applications.
- Evaluate and test new solutions and applications.
The Technical Support Engineer will be required to travel overseas to support regional customers and partners when needed.
The Technical Support Engineer will report to the Managing Director and work closely with the software development and operations teams.
Requirements:
The candidate should have at least 2-3 years of working experience in IT or telecommunications fields in technical
roles. The individual shall:
- Have good theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience on IP and networking
- Be proficient in the installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting of Linux and Windows
servers
- Familiar with MySQL/SQL, Apache/IIS
Experience and knowledge in any of the following areas are added advantage:
- SIP/H323 and RTSP protocols and applications
- Script languages such as PHP, Perl, JavaScript, etc
- Video related technologies and applications
- Media servers and telephony boards
- Telecommunications network and protocols
Individuals will be required to communicate effectively in English.
